JVC displays 4 k camcorder, transported us from Vegas to New York

We have always known that full-HD 1080p video is just an another stop on the way to the ultra-high-definition TV. JVC stand at the exhibition CES 2011, the company led a 4K-Prototyp-Camcorder, which suggests that we'll reach UltraHDville sooner than we might think.

The camera offers a resolution of 3, 840 x 2, 160 pixels, shoots 8.3 megapixel images at a rate of 60 frames per second. This is only possible because JVC has developed new processors, which are more than twice as fast as predecessor models. As a bonus these new chips use less power and are cheaper to make than the processors in current JVC Camcorder.

We were blown away by small such as camcorders could produce such an incredible picture. The camera is the same size as a semi-Pro HD model from JVC current range. Although it still not for sale, it certainly looked like a finished product to us.

What was the most surprised us, how the image is crystal clear. You can see, as detailed above, it is looking at the second image in our Photo Gallery (a photo of a picture on a TV show). The quality is so high that it looks how we cross to New York to some guy tear the road popped.

That is to say but not to the perfect camcorder. We have found that some fringing on certain objects, such as color. But the smoothness of the image and remarkably crisp sharp images are really exciting. We felt really, as we from a window are looking for me, when we display the images.

JVC demonstrated a prototype of the camera first in 2007 so that it has been some years in the making. We can only hope that it goes on sale soon and all those that we can start to throw away garbage full HDTVs that are our living room urban landscapes.
