Sigma DP2x

CP + 2011: Sigma has announced the compact digital camera DP2x, a revised version of his camera compact DP2 large sensor that captures the information in three colours to the positions of 4.7 M (14 total M of data points). It includes the new AF algorithm for fast autofocus, for the first time in the DP1x. other features remain the same with a 2.5 "LCD, II real engine and P/A/S/M shooting modes of treatment."

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new Sigma DP2x compact digital camera with a megapixel 14 FOVEON X 3 ® direct image sensor (2,652 × 1,768 × 3 layers).

The new DP2x of Sigma is the latest model of series DP2 and incorporates the AFE (Analog Front End) and fast autofocus.  ERA is also used in the DP1x compact digital and SD15 digital SLR camera and converts the data full colour, that the FOVEON X 3 ® capture the recordings of the system in a digital signal. This allows the camera to reproduce high definition and richly colored images. In addition, the new AF algorithm provides autofocus at high speed, ensuring convenient shooting.

Image sensor size SLR
The size of the image sensor used in the DP2x camera is 20.7 x 13.8 mm. It is approximately seven to twelve times larger than sensors used in digital cameras compact ordinary. The large photodiodes deployed capture light efficiently and give the DP2x of its high resolution and richly-graduated tones.

Color image sensor
Using the special characteristics of silicon, which is entered at different depths by different wavelengths of light, this image sensor direct 14 megapixel successor to capture, colors with the full RGB in a single-pixel location.

TRUE II image processing engine
The DP2x incorporates the engine of the "TRUE (three layers sensitive ultimate engine) II" image processing which improves the speed of treatment and the overall quality of the image. The unique image processing algorithm provides high resolution and reproduced images high definition with richly graduated tones.

AFE (analog Front End)
AFE (analog Front End) converts color data, record color capture systems, a digital signal. This allows the camera to reproduce high definition and richly colored images.

24.2 mm F2.8 lens
The DP2x is equipped with a lens 24.2 mm F2.8 aperture large, equivalent to 41 mm on a 35 mm SLR camera, which was designed exclusively for the DP2 series. Two components of the index of refraction high and two molded glass aspherical lenses provide superior image quality and for its compact construction.

RAW format recording
The DP2x includes the recording format JPEG for convenience in more raw data recording mode (X3F) to keep details of capture the complete image of the highest quality. Raw images can be processed in the provided Sigma PhotoPro software.
